On offer is a vintage Radius No. 21 brass camping stove. I think this probably dates from the later part of the 1930s but I can't be sure. From what I have read I think this model is known as the type 3. It appears to be in good condition and I assume it would work OK but to be honest I know nothing about this type of item. I have not tried to test it as I wouldn't know where to begin. Please look at all the pictures as they form part of the item description and if you have any questions please get in touch.

The stove comes in the original brightly painted storage tin. Everything that you see in the pictures is included in the auction. To the top of the fuel tank is engraved "Radius Ltd No. 21 Made in Sweden" and also writing in Arabic. The bottom of the tank is engraved "Radius Ltd Stockholm Made in Sweden". To the side of the tank in six different languages is engraved "Genuine only when provided with the name Radius Ltd ". Hopefully this will be of help to you in dating the item.

The spanner is marked with the Radius name. The small metal bottle has dry dust etc inside - there is no liquid. The instruction sheet is a bit grubby, tatty and creased but is still clear and easy to read.

There are obvious signs of wear and tear to the stove from age and use. There has been a repair near the filler cap as pictured. A clean and polish would certainly improve the look but that's a job for the new owner.

The storage tin is a bit battered and has some tarnish and rust as you can see. The painted design is still bright around the sides but the top is a bit dull. The hinged catch works well.

Despite the faults mentioned this is still a wonderful vintage camping stove. It would make a good addition to any collection.
